Strathalbyn is located approximately an hours drive from Adelaide and is only a short drive from Langhorne Creek’s renowned wine district.

Strathalbyn today retains much of its historic past, evident in its beautiful stone buildings, also Strathalbyn is becoming known as an antique centre.

How do I get to Strathalbyn?

Adelaide and the Fleurieu Peninsula.

  • From Adelaide City, follow Glen Osmond Road and continue up the South Eastern Freeway then turn off at Mount Barker.
  • Pass through Mount Barker, following the signs towards Strathalbyn.
  • Take the first right turn after passing through Wistow.

(The 35 minute route is well signposted from the Freeway.)

How do I find The Gasworks once I’m at Strathalbyn?

From the Strathalbyn to Wistow Road, follow East Tce over the rail crossing and turn right at the roundabout, onto South Tce. You’ll find the Gasworks Cottage about 100 Meters up, on the left hand side of the road.
