Owners, Heather and Graham Dean, both from the town of Swindon in Wiltshire – UK, originally, moved to the Gasworks from Melbourne in October 2016 after moving to Australia in 1991, lived in Sydney and Melbourne and with the children grown up finally left busy corporate lives to pursue a new dream.
“Over the years, we had stayed in many Cottages and Bed and Breakfasts around Australia, and always dreamed what we would do – and discussed what we really liked about the various places we stayed in, and which parts we would incorporate if ever we ran accommodation. To be honest, we never thought it would ever happen !”
We love the feedback we are getting from our customers, both online via the various booking sites and reviews, but also in the visitors books in each cottage. Whether you stay a few nights or many, we love it when you make a comment in the book. We have even had pictures drawn, and stories told – it’s fantastic. We live on site so happy to have as much or little interaction as you like. We are very approachable so any issues you may have we love to sort while you are with us as nothing can be done after you leave.
The town of Strathalbyn is so welcoming and friendly, we are truly blessed to be able to share such a beautiful place.
